Kindergarten- Mrs. Sharon Bretting K20

Hello, my name is Sharon Bretting and I am a graduate of Holy Redeemer School.  My job is teaching Kindergarten.  I attended The Catholic University of America.  My teaching experience has been for eleven years, eight of those years were spent teaching at Holy Redeemer. I was born and raised in Kensington and am the youngest of seven children.  I enjoy spending time with my two young sons and the rest of my family.  Working at Holy Redeemer with such wonderful students and faculty is a true joy.  

 

Kindergarten Aide- Mrs. Mary Ruth Clark K20
Born and raised in Washington, DC, Mrs. Clark attended Georgetown Visitation and American University where she studied math.  She began her career at Holy Redeemer as a substitute teacher and was hired as a kindergarten aide in 1985.  In addition to her long tenure on the kindergarten hall, Mrs. Clark has also been in charge of the lunchtime playground since 1995, and has worked in the aftercare program for since 1999.

Kindergarten- Mrs. Pam Hurley  K22
Pamela Mary Hurley began teaching at HRS as a long term sub in 1999 and then a full time teacher in 2000. A native of the Washington, D.C. area she graduated from Holy Redeemer School, Georgetown Visitation and received her B.S.F.S from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University.  After college she married Paul Hurley and had 5 children. The family lived at foreign postings in Chile, Paraguay, Spain, France and Austria.   In 1993 she attended George Mason University Graduate School of Education to obtain a teaching certification. She completed her student teaching at Marymount International School of Paris.  While overseas she worked as a Kindergarten aide at Marymount- Paris and as a long term substitute at the American International School of Vienna, Austria. Mrs. Hurley also served as the Director of Religious Education at the English Speaking Catholic Parishes of Madrid, Spain and Vienna, Austria.  In Paraguay, she served as the Coordinator and instructor of the swimming camp at the American Embassy of Paraguay as well as PTA President of the American School of Asuncion, Paraguay.

Kindergarten Aide- Mrs. Veronica Rozier K22
A graduate of American University in Washington, DC, Veronica used her degree in International Business during a ten year career in the federal government as a Procurement Officer.  Veronica stayed home with her young children until her youngest started kindergarten when she started working at Holy Redeemer as a substitute teacher.  In 2006, Veronica became teacher’s aide to Mrs. Hurley in K-22. She loves working with children and teaching especially teaching Spanish to the kindergartners.
