8th Grade Faculty
8A Homeroom, 7th and 8th Language Arts- Mrs. Michelle Ardillo
Michelle comes to education as a second career, having spent twenty years as a real estate paralegal. In 2002, she moved to Brussels, Belgium, for two years with her family for her husband’s work. While living there, she substitute taught and volunteered at the international school where her daughters were enrolled, St. John’s International School. Upon returning to Maryland, Michelle served as high school and middle school youth minister for her parish, St. Jude’s in Rockville. This further convinced her to pursue teaching, and she began teaching at Holy Redeemer in 2007.
Michelle is the Drama Club Moderator at Holy Redeemer, where she has produced and directed an adaptation of Twelfth Night, Godspell Junior, and Music Man Junior. She has directed four other full length plays and has been onstage in over 40 productions, including a 1987 production of Annie where she met her husband. A Louisiana native, Michelle and her husband have two teenage daughters. The entire family enjoys theatre and traveling. When not grading book reports and essays, Michelle loves to read and cook.
