  • With high speed FIOS Internet and Wi-Fi throughout the building, we are able to connect our school with the global learning community
  • Each classroom has a computer, LCD projector, and a document camera set up to make access to online resources simple and easy to use for both teachers and students
  • Teachers use a desktop, thin client solution to access our online Learning Management System, Plus Portals (Rediker), to post homework, maintain gradebooks, send progress reports and communicate with parents about student achievement
  • Resources from subscription services with IXL for both math and language arts, Discovery Education, Brain-Pop, Reading A-Z, and the online academic data-base; SIRS, provide our students with up-to-date written and multimedia content that is COPPA compliant
  • Teachers check out iPads for student use on a daily basis


  • Our lab is equipped with 28 work stations that students in grades 5 through 8 visit weekly
  • Students master the use of Microsoft Office and learn to use network and cloud-based applications to enhance and assess their learning
  • Students in the remaining grades visit the lab bi-weekly driven by their academic requirements
  • The curriculum in the computer classes follows the International Society for Technology in Education Standards for Students and maryland Technology Education Standards (MTES) for learning and the teachers strive to meet the ISTE teacher standards and MTTS (Maryland Teacher Technology Standards) through ongoing professional development.
